At Pride Learning Center we value each of our students individual learning styles. The Pride Learning System is research-based and creates independent and confident students. We tap into each child’s learning style through our multisensory program by including touch, vision, kinetic and auditory elements. At Pride Learning Center we are proudly committed to each student, each family, and each outcome.

Pride students become independent readers and enthusiastic lifelong learners. With Pride you will see:

  • Improved Reading
  • Increased Self-Confidence
  • New Found Motivation For Learning

How The Pride Learning System Works

Unlike other reading or tutoring programs, we specialize exclusively in teaching struggling and nonreaders. We don’t follow the school’s curriculum that is failing so many students. At Pride we don’t do worksheets, workbooks, homework help, or busy work. At Pride we just teach reading.

To teach a struggling reader, we begin with recognition of the letters, the sounds of the letters, and the sounds of letter combinations (phonemes). Our structured program is kind, systematic and cumulative. This means that, like a pyramid, the base must first be strong enough to support the entire structure. After our students receive a strong foundation, they are able to recognize words using the skills we teach.

The final element of the Pride Learning System is that we act to increase intrinsic motivation and resultant self-esteem with every second of interaction. This means that our students feel approval and accomplishment because they know we like them — and admire their efforts and their perseverance. Every student at Pride becomes a reader.

Our Staff

Your child will learn from the most highly qualified teachers with advanced degrees and experience. Each of our teachers enhances executive functioning and teaches reading to students of every ability. Learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD are specifically addressed in the Pride Learning System. We use the most recent research-validated methods to engage and keep each student on task and intrinsically motivated. Each of our teachers is agile in the use of our multisensory techniques. Prides one-to-one learning system assures each student receives complete and undivided attention from their teacher. Plus we provide ongoing assessment and objective evaluation of each student’s progress.

Our Facilities

Pride Learning Centers are state of the art facilities. Each Center is specifically designed to provide a comfortable, modern and clean learning environment. We are delighted but not surprised to hear from parents that our students actually look forward to their Pride sessions. Their teachers do, too.
